OK, I’ve seemingly gotten through my blogger crisis. While I like WordPress, it’s tough to give up a year relationship for a one month fling. So with that, I’ll be heading back to blogger

I’m back over here now

But still exciting for me is that for the first time in 25 years of picking brackets I’ve actually picked the whole Final Four. No shit. Luckily, I’m not doing this for money, only personal satisfaction. (I’m in 216343 place at Yahoo!). God, it’s all falling into place now. Time to check the Megamillions ticket I bought last week.

I’m pleased as punch to show off my brand new son. Matthew James was born 3/23 at 9:03 PM. He’s 7 lbs, 1 oz., but most importantly he’s a boy. Yeah, I’m psyched. This was a surprise, the wife and I were certain we were ready to unload another girl. This helps balance things out though, as we can now begin introducing GI Joe’s, dinosaurs, and trains into a house dominated by princess gear and ponies. Yeah.

Following up a dinner of houmus and falafel with a lunch of KFC has proven to be disasterous for me. The morning was marked by frequent but generally benign toots. Adding grease and significant amounts of sodium has turned the gas noxious and angry, marked by stench and crippling gas pains. And the noise – the weird water rushing sound that everyone can hear. Not to mention the beads of sweat. Terrible. I actually had to leave a meeting to relieve the pressure, which may only be topped on the embarrasment scale by actually shitting your pants in public. Not that I didn’t dance around that as I Frankensteined walked to the bathroom. Christ, it was bad.

Luckily, a the skids have passed and I am now able to pass on this cautionary tale. God, it feels good to be blogging again.

OK, we’re now t-minus one week from Vandebaby version 3.x. At this point the wife and I are still unsure as to the gender, but deep down inside I suspect it will be a girl. I guess I’m just a girl’s dad. Actually, I just want a healthy baby, period.

Anyhow, it will be a relief as the last 2 months of this pregnancy have fallen apart like chinese motorcycle. First it was the gestational diabetes. Then the wife suffered through a 3+ week combo sinus infection/bronchitis. Now, with one week left Elle’s blood pressure is up and the doctors are worried about preeclampsia. We are awaiting test results, but if she does have preeclampsia then the c-section is getting moved up to as soon as possible. Good times indeed. So, if you have mojo to spare then send us some our way.

You know, WordPress makes changing templates so easy that I will spending a great deal of time just fucking around until I find something that I can live with. So bear with me

So it’s come to this. Blogger has fucked me to the point I have to begin all over again.3 years of blogging down the toilet because I can’t login and switch to “new” blogger. This has to be God’s way of telling me “Dude, no one cares about what you have to say. Give it up already”

 I should be happy, WordPress is an infinitely better blogging application, but still there’s a void. Fuck you Blogger!
